Rebels sign American forward Owen Shadrick

From the west coast to central Alberta, the Red Deer Rebels have added another forward to their squad.

On Wednesday the club announced they signed 16-year-old forward Owen Shadrick from Valencia, California to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

This season, Shadrick, who shoots left handed, suits up for the Chicago Mission 16U AAA and has nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points in 31 games.

He also played for the Chicago Mission 18U team during the Circle K Classic Tournament that takes place shortly after Christmas in Calgary. He scored two points in four games.
