Ponoka’s annual Christmas lights tour to begin early December

Town of Ponoka media release – Get ready for another fantastic holiday season as Ponoka’s much-anticipated, self-guided Community Christmas Lights Tour returns in early December. The tour will showcase and celebrate festively decorated homes and yards throughout the community.

“The Christmas Lights Tour is a stunning display of the creativity and dedication residents put into their light displays each year. It provides a fantastic opportunity for community members to show off their beautifully decorated homes and offers a fun activity for all ages to enjoy,” said Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson.

Enter Your Home in the Tour

Citizens are encouraged to sign up by Sunday, December 1 if they would like to enter their home in the community’s Christmas Lights Tour.

To enter your home, please visit the Town’s website at ponoka.ca/p/christmas-in-ponoka and click on ‘Ponoka’s Annual Christmas Lights Tour.’

You can complete the online form, or call 403-783-0131 or email events@ponoka.ca with your name and address. We will then add your home to the Christmas Lights Tour map. Please note that only the physical address of your home will be displayed on the official tour map.

Ponoka County Residents: If you live in the county, please include your blue sign number when registering. While we cannot add you to the map, your address will still be shared in a list of county addresses posted on the side of the tour map to ensure participants can find and enjoy your display.

Where to Find the Map

The tour map will be available starting in early December on:

• The Town of Ponoka’s website at ponoka.ca/p/christmas-in-ponoka under ‘Ponoka’s Annual Christmas Lights Tour.’
• Social media (Facebook, X, and Instagram) @TownofPonoka; and
• Paper copies will also be available at the Ponoka Aquaplex, Ponoka Arena Complex and at the Town Office on the second floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre.
