Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship comes to a close

The Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship has come to a close and a few central Alberta golfers participated in the Saskatoon tournament.

Held at both the Riverside Country Club and Saskatoon Golf and Country Club from August 5-8, three local golfers were cut after round two.

Chase Broderson, of Lacombe, finished at +5, shooting 75 in round one and 74 in round two for a total of 149.

Finishing at +6, Jace Ouelette, from Red Deer County, shot 77 in round one, followed by 73 for a total of 150.

Sylvan Lake’s Logan Graf finished at +8, shooting 72 in round one and 80 in round two, totalling to 152.

Tyler Mawhinney (Fleming Island, Fla.) took first place at -15; he shot 65 in round one, then 69, 70, and 69 again for a total of 273.
