Trial date set for Wetaskiwin man arrested twice in 24 hours
A trial date has been set for a Wetaskiwin man arrested and charged twice in the span of 24 hours last month.
Jamie Swinamer, 35, is scheduled for trial in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Aug. 19, 2024.
He faces counts of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of property over $5000, fail to comply with a release order, driving a motor vehicle without insurance, and driving a motor vehicle while unauthorized.
Swinamer also faces counts of obstructing a peace officer, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. Those matters return to court Aug. 9, 2024, in Red Deer Court of Justice.
