Whitecourt Wolverines get new and ‘inspired’ owner in Cory Masse
New ownership has been approved for the Whitecourt Wolverines.
Cory Masse was approved today by the Alberta Junior Hockey League to take over the team that has been the focus of many questions over the past few months.
That’s despite finishing atop the regular season standings and making an appearance in the AJHL’s championship series.
Masse is s local businessman who technically takes control of the Wolverines from the league, which recently took reins of the team from the group that is now owners of an expansion team in Devon. On that note, it’s also been announced that team will be known as the Xtreme, after the hockey academy there.
