Trial dates set for man charged in local armed robberies
Trial dates have been set for a Red Deer man charged in a pair of local armed robberies last year.
Lloyd Joanisse, 40, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer Court of Justice from Nov. 4-7, 2024.
It was on Nov. 11, 2023, shortly after 10 p.m., when Red Deer RCMP received a 911 call reporting a robbery with a firearm at a gas station in the East Hill area. Police responded immediately, however the male suspect had fled the scene.
Mounties say a search for the male was conducted, with the assistance of Police Dog Services (PDS). Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) continued the investigation, which revealed a few hundred dollars worth of cash and cigarettes had been taken.
