Blue-green algae advisories lifted
Officials with Alberta Health Services (AHS) say recent weather has cooled lake and reservoir water temperatures to such an extent that cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) is no longer a health concern, including in all 11 bodies of water in the Central Zone which were placed under cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) advisories.
Effective immediately, AHS has lifted the cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) advisories for:
Driedmeat Lake
Islet Lake
