Serious assault in Ponoka under investigation

RCMP in Ponoka are investigating what they call a serious assault which allegedly occurred at a home on 62 Avenue.

Members responded to the residence just after midnight on Oct. 13. RCMP believe it was a targeted attack and say there is no risk to the public.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where they remain in serious but stable condition.

Ponoka RCMP ask residents in the area of 62 Ave. and 50 St. to check their surveillance cameras around the noted timeframe and report to RCMP if they see anything suspicious.
