Canada Beef names new leader ahead of current president’s retirement
CALGARY, AB – Canada Beef has found its new president.
Eric Bienvenue will start with the organization on October 3, 2023, but he won’t officially take on the role until March when current president Michael Young retires. Over the next few months, Young will mentor his successor to ensure he’s fully prepared for the job when he leaves.
Young said, “He brings a solid business acumen, collaborative leadership skills, and the drive needed to support the continued success and prosperity of the Canadian cattle and beef sector.”
Bienvenue has nearly 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles in the Canadian pork and poultry industries. This includes over 20 at Olymel and several at Boire et Frères Inc.
