Maskwacis RCMP investigating fatal pedestrian collision on Hwy 2A

RCMP in Maskwacis are investigating a fatal collision on Hwy 2A, north of Maskwacis Townsite.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., September 18, 2023, Maskwacis RCMP received a report of a pedestrian collision on Hwy 2A north of the townsite.

On arrival, Mounties say one person was found deceased as a result of the collision. The investigation is ongoing at this time and an RCMP Collision analyst is assisting.

Police say the collision scene on Highway 2A has been cleared and traffic flow has resumed.

RCMP say no further details are available at this time.
