Two Wetaskiwin residents ordered to stand trial in Ponoka teen’s death
Two Wetaskiwin residents charged in the death of a young Ponoka man last year have been ordered to stand trial.
Adam James Cook, 28, and Morgan Maslin, 21, were ordered to stand trial in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Aug. 16, 2023, at the start of their preliminary hearing to determine if their case had enough evidence to go to trial.
A trial date, however, has yet to be scheduled.
It was on July 8, 2022, at 8:25 p.m., when Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to a report of an altercation on 40 Avenue, east of 56 Street in Wetaskiwin.
