29th annual Mopar Show and Shine this Saturday at Red Deer Polytechnic

The 29^th annual Mopar Show and Shine is taking place this Saturday in the Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) parking lot, right beside the Red Deer Farmer’s Market.

Held by the Central Alberta Mopar Association on August 12, the show will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the P West and L lots.

The Association says on their website they have been hosting the August Heat since 1994 as a way of preserving the Mopar history.

According to the Mopar website, the brand began creating antifreeze products in the 1930’s before transitioning to parts, weapons and vehicles for the second World War. Over the following decades, they produced parts and services for various vehicles including Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and FIAT brands.
