North wins the Senior Bowl 30-13

After a smoke filled weekend that featured indoor practices and a delayed game start until conditions improved on Monday, the 33^rd Annual Senior Bowl for the top graduating Grade 12 high school football players in Alberta was taken by the “North” 30-13.

After a scoreless first quarter the “North” scored early in the second on a TD pass from Spruce Grove’s Josh Page to Leduc’s Mark Myrglod.

The same pair hooked up in the third quarter and Page ran in a TD for good measure to put the “North” up by three scores and they never looked back.

The “South” made it interesting late with two fourth quarter TD’s from Notre Dame’s Matteo Civitarese and Henry Wise Wood’s Jordayne Falconer but a pick six from Harry Ainlay’s Jake Gehlert ended the comeback.
