RCMP confirms no threat to École Secondaire Notre Dame High School

École Secondaire Notre Dame High School was made aware of a potential Snapchat threat to the safety of staff and students today.
Officials with Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, however, say that once aware of the threat, school administration followed Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) Hour Zero protocols, which included involving the RCMP.
Officials say RCMP immediately responded to the school and investigated the threat and determined that it did not involve École Secondaire Notre Dame High School. RCMP reported to RDCRS they apprehended an individual, whom they believe was responsible for the threat and police are continuing with the investigation.
RCMP are confident there was no threat to students and staff at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School.
