“Mental health awareness has become more prevalent than ever,” said Trina Radcliffe, Athletics Manager at Olds College. “We are proud to be part of the ACAC Make Some Noise for Mental Health campaign, and we are equally proud of our student-athletes for stepping up and wanting to make a difference.”

Make Some Noise was started in 2015 and has unified 17 post-secondaries in raising awareness for mental health.

“After two challenging years of Covid restrictions we have witnessed first-hand the importance of supporting those dealing with mental health challenges,” said Mark Kosak, the ACAC’s Chief Executive Officer. “The ACAC is gratified that student-athletes have embraced the important role that they can play. Due to the ongoing support from RBC, the ACAC will once again do our part to make a difference.”

There is a competitive component to this year’s Make Some Noise campaign, as the two ACAC members judged to have conducted the most impactful campaigns will earn $1,500 and $1,000 contributions provided by RBC towards on-campus mental health resources.
