Innisfail RCMP seize stolen property and drugs following search warrant

Innisfail RCMP have executed a search warrant leading them to seize stolen property and drugs.

On Nov. 20,2022, Innisfail RCMP say they responded to a report of theft from a vehicle in Penhold where several items of value, including a rifle, were stolen.

As a result of an investigation, Mounties say they were able to determine the location of the stolen property.

On Nov. 23, 2022, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Innisfail. RCMP officials state the stolen rifle and other associated stolen property as well as methamphetamine were seized.

McLane has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Dec. 16, 2022.

Brian Palomaki, 50, a resident of Innisfail, has been charged with:

Possession of property obtained by crime
Break in to steal a firearm
Careless storage of a firearm
Possession of a firearm w/o holding a licence
Possession of a firearm while prohibited
Possession of a firearm for purpose of trafficking
Fail to comply with release conditions
Possession of methamphetamine;

Palomaki has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Dec. 8, 2022.
