Innisfail RCMP lay charges relating to local school break and enter

A central Alberta youth is facing charges after a break-in at Innisfail Middle School this week.

On Oct. 17, 2022, Innisfail RCMP responded to an alarm at the Innisfail Middle School. On Arrival, RCMP officers discovered the school had been broken into and a significant amount of damage was done to the school.

While at the school, RCMP officers observed the suspect attempting to flee on a bicycle. A short foot chase ensued and officers arrested the suspect without incident.

Mounties say the damage to school property is estimated to be over $5000.
