It may be fall now, but Alberta is still periodically experiencing summer weather.
Environment Canada says new heat records were set in 31 communities across the province on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Medicine Hat was the warmest at 33.8 degrees Celsius, breaking the September 28 record set 113 years ago in 1909.
Although it was a little cooler in Red Deer with a daily temperature maximum of 28.4, it broke the record that had been standing since 1904.
