Traffic disruptions for roadway improvements on 43 Street

Red Deer motorists and pedestrians are advised of upcoming traffic disruptions as crews complete roadway improvements on 43 Street from Taylor Drive to 49 Avenue.

City officials say milling will take place the night of Thursday, August 18, between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and paving is scheduled to take place during the day on Sunday, August 21 and after 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22. The road will be fully closed for this work and drivers will need to plan alternative routes.

Signs will be placed to notify drivers of detours and closures as they occur. Drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs when driving in construction zones. Pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.
