Tens of thousands enjoying Westerner Days 2022
With blue, sunny skies, attendance for the Westerner Days Fair & Exposition is off to a great start for central Alberta’s Largest Summer Celebration.
That according to Westerner Park officials who say tens of thousands have already come through the gates to Westerner Days 2022.
“As ‘Westerners’, we thrive on seeing such a tremendous response from the community, and being able to bring people together again to celebrate at Westerner Days,” says Mike Olesen, CEO of Westerner Park. “It’s also a huge boost for Red Deer and area, employing hundreds of full and part-time individuals, contractors, and local businesses. Westerner Days success is also due in large part to our sponsors and volunteers, who have already contributed over 600 hours of their time and expertise to Westerner Days.”
A highlight of Thursday was the Billy Talent performance on the TD Main Stage. The rockers did not disappoint, say Westerner officials, delivering an incredible show to over 2,500 fans. Friday night saw Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans reconnecting with central Albertans through his authentic western themes. Alan Doyle, sponsored by 106.7 Rewind, provided the final performance on the TD Main Stage Saturday night.
