Red Deer man charged with forcible confinement after search warrant

Red Deer RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant this week, resulting in one arrest.

On March 27, members were dispatched to a call of a distressed male who’d allegedly been forcibly confined at a residence on Parke Avenue.

Upon investigation, one male was arrested and one firearm was seized from an apartment.

Todd Deschambeault, 29, from Red Deer, is charged with the following:

• Forcible confinement
• Robbery
• Assault
• Possession of a firearm while prohibited (x2)
• Possession of an unauthorized firearm
• Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition
