Arts and Recreation

Registration for spring programming begins on March 8

Mar 4, 2022 | 3:58 PM

Red Deerians can prepare to sign up for spring arts and recreation programs as of next week.

New program options are viewable now on Look ‘n Book and My Activity Guide, and registration will begin on Tuesday, March 8 at noon.

There are three ways to register for City of Red Deer programs:

  • Online at the Look ’n Book site: http://looknbook.reddeer.ca
  • By phone: 403-309-8411
  • In person at Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Community Centre or Recreation Centre

This spring, arts and recreation opportunities are returning to City of Red Deer facilities without barriers. The provincial Restrictions Exemption Program is no longer, masking mandates have recently been removed, and restrictions on gathering limits have ended. As a result, in most situations, program offerings will return to a pre-pandemic state.

Hand sanitizer stations and enhanced cleaning protocols will continue at City facilities. The City reminds customers to interact with kindness as the community will adjust to these measures in different ways.

Spring program offerings are viewable now on My Activity Guide, The City’s online program promotion tool. Programs are viewable in the same fashion as they were in the previously produced paper guide. Customers can create their own custom guide and select categories, age groups and locations relevant to them and their families.

Customers should visit their Look’ n Book accounts prior to registration day to ensure access is up to date. For any questions regarding account access, residents can contact Recreation at 403-309-8411.

Due to a recent software upgrade, those wishing to use credits on their accounts to register for spring programs may do so online via Look ‘n Book.

Summer program registration will occur in early May, 2022. Customers looking for summer content can view program offerings at that time. The summer registration session will include the opportunities for summer day camps.
