Premier doesn’t understand why some want to take ivermectin instead of COVID vaccines

Alberta’s premier says he doesn’t understand why people would want to take ivermectin, a horse dewormer, rather than a free and approved COVID-19 vaccine.

Jason Kenney made the comments during a live question-and-answer session on Facebook last night.

He was responding to a question from someone who said it was – quote – “his way or the highway” on the drug when others have been using a human version to treat COVID-19 patients.

The premier noted that the drug is not approved by the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons, Health Canada or the American Food and Drug Administration as a treatment for COVID.
