Red Deer Public School Board expresses frustration with government leadership on COVID
The board of trustees for Red Deer Public Schools has sent a letter to local MLAS, including the Minister of Education, expressing frustration with Alberta school boards being left to make health-based decision – a provincial jurisdiction.
Following a Special Board Meeting held Sept. 6 to review enhanced health restrictions related to COVID-19, Red Deer Public Schools Board of Trustees sent a letter to Red Deer North MLA and Minister of Education Adriana LaGrange and Red Deer South MLA Jason Stephan explaining their frustrations.
The letter below suggests those circumstances have created division across Alberta’s communities.
