Shelter Ribfest at Westerner Park Aug. 27-29

The Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter (CAWES) is offering you the chance to enjoy some succulent ribs this weekend while supporting a great cause at the same time.

Shelter Ribfest takes place Aug. 27-29 at Westerner Park’s N.W. parking lot, but is a drive-thru event only this year.

Organizers say four of the best rib trucks from across Canada will be cooking up some of the best mouth-watering barbecued-smoked ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and brisket you’ve ever had!

You will also be able to enjoy cold refreshments, fresh-cut fries, and mini donuts!

Admission is free or by donation.

Plus, don’t forget to buy your 50/50 tickets each day on-site and online for your chance to win one of six draws happening.

Draws will be made at the end of each night with the winning tickets to be posted online. You’re encouraged to come back daily to enter.

All Rib trucks in attendance are from Canada.

Proceeds are in support of the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter.

Aug. 28, 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.

Aug. 29, 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

Rib teams include Billy’s BBQ, Buckeye BBQ, Camp 31, and Pistol Pete’s.
