Town of Blackfalds conducting communications survey
The Town of Blackfalds is conducting a communications survey to learn how the Town can improve its communications by seeking input from residents, businesses, and neighbours in the region.
According to Miranda Cooper, Marketing and Communications (MarCom) Manager for the Town, the questionnaire is a crucial step in continuing to move the Town forward in its efforts to engage the community, keep members informed, and be transparent. “The goal of the survey is to gain some insight on how we can improve our communications and is one of the final components of the Town’s overall communications plan.”
Cooper also added that her team was humbled by their experience this past year and emphasizes that “if we learned anything in the last year, it is that we must be prepared for the unexpected and allow for a more contactless, supportive, yet efficient way to serve the public.”
One outcome from 2020 was the need for a more robust and dynamic website that will include features such as alert messaging, pop-up notifications, and the ability to broadcast expedient messages. The MarCom team is currently working to launch a new website in the summer of 2021.
