Charges against Innisfail barber shop dropped due to clerical error: Crown
Alberta’s Crown prosecution service says charges were dropped against a central Alberta barbershop because of a clerical error.
Carla Jones, a spokeswoman for the service, says the prosecutor didn’t have a disclosure package in court so the charges for violating the Public Health Act were withdrawn.
Jones says the cause of the error has been identified and the RCMP is looking into next steps.
She did not say where the clerical error originated or who was at fault.
