Red Deer’s outdoor rinks closing for season Friday
Mar 3, 2021 | 12:55 PM
It’s the last lap for Red Deer’s outdoor rinks as they are set to close for the season due to spring-like temperatures.
On Friday, March 5 all outdoor rinks and the Ice Oval at Setters Place will close and signage will be placed on-site advising the public to stay off the ice.
Natural Ice surfaces at Bower Ponds, Anders and Westlake are thick enough to remain open until Friday, March 12. Residents are reminded to exercise caution on natural ice surfaces as warm temperatures can weaken the ice surface.
More information about outdoor rinks can be found at www.reddeer.ca/outdoorskating.
