Team Canada paintings raise over $10,000 for Red Deer charities

The Red Deer area scored big time thanks to the skillful hands of Canada’s World Junior stars.

Forty-five paintings done by Team Canada players and staff while they were in quarantine during selection camp in Red Deer were put up for online auction and raised an impressive $10,660 to be distributed to local charities.

Bidders from across Canada and the United States snapped up the unique art pieces.

Tourism Red Deer and the Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce teamed up to present the auction and are thanking bidders for their tremendous support.
