Sylvan Lake council approves interim 2021 operating budget

Sylvan Lake town council has approved an interim operating budget worth over $7.3 million.

Council’s interim budget approval on Monday comes in advance of final approvals which are anticipated for both the operating and capital budgets on Feb. 22, 2021.

Town officials say the interim operating budget takes into account operating expenses such as wages, contracted services, goods and supplies, and utilities.

Additionally, it gives Town administration pre-budget approval of several projects prior to the anticipated final approval date in February.
