Red Deer native Cade Mason named AJHL Defensive Player of the Week

Red Deer native Cade Mason of the Grande Prairie Storm is the AJHL Defensive Player of the Week.

Mason, 19, recorded two assists on November 20 as the Storm fell 4-3 to the Saints in a shootout.

On November 21, he repeated his performance with two assists, including an assist on the game winner, as the Storm stole a 5-4 win from the Saints.

Mason is in his second season with the Storm and recorded a goal and six assists in four games before the AJHL paused its season due to COVID-19.
