Edmonton man busted for illegal cigarettes

An Edmonton man has been charged after more than one-million contraband cigarettes were recently seized in the city.

The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Corporation says the contraband found at a storage facility in central Edmonton was worth more than $665,000.

Jian Wanghas been charged with trafficking in contraband tobacco under the Criminal Code.

He is to appear in Edmonton Provincial Court in February.
