Rocky RCMP Report Sept. 11-16

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of September 11-16

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

September 11

1:07 A.M. – Call from a resident advising that someone came onto his yard and tried stealing his dog. He chased the culprit away.

1:36 P.M. – Bullet holes discovered in the RCMP First Nation sub office. Under investigation.

10:12 P.M. – Report of an intoxicated male walking up Main Street, trying to open doors of businesses. Police located and arrested the individual who was held in custody until he sobered up.

11:04 P.M. – Report of 2-3 suspicious males in a backyard of a residence on 56 street / 56 Ave in RMH. They were overheard talking about breaking into the RV trailer but when the home owner yelled at them, they ran off.

7:46 A.M. – Call of an intoxicated male passed out in the lobby of a Rocky apartment building. Police attended and arrested the subject who was released after sobering up.

September 13

00:06 A.M. – Complaint of a loud group of campers partying in the Abraham Lake area. The complainant asked them to keep the noise down but they threatened him.

00:13 A.M. – Police arrested a heavily intoxicated male after it was reported that it appeared he was trying to break into a residence.

10:30 A.M. – While on patrol on the Sunchild First Nations Reserve, police came upon a vehicle on the roadway with two occupants engaged in a sexual act. Police observed liquor and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A search revealed a sawed-off rifle and bags of methamphetamine. Both subjects were arrested and charges are pending.

September 14

10:25 A.M. – Five storage units broken into overnight in the Rocky industrial area.

10:14 P.M. – Compliant of harassment and uttering threats at a residence in Clearwater County. Under investigation

September 15

8:09 A.M. – Report of a shop in Clearwater County broken into. Solar charging system, tools, fuel, and other items were stolen.

2:13 P.M. – Report of a licence plate stolen from a vehicle while parked at water treatment plant in Rocky.

September 16

8:06 A.M. – Garage broken into overnight at a residence in Rocky. Hunting gear, bikes, and tools were stolen.

11:10 A.M. – Report of a stolen silver 2006 Chev Equinox from a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation.

2:44 P.M. – Shed broken into at a residence in Rocky.

3:24 P.M. – Report of holes drilled into gas tanks of vehicles while parked at the O’Chiese Health Center.

8:03 P.M. – 911 call of a female, high on Meth, going door to door and causing problems on the O’Chiese First Nations Reserve. She was located on a road and arrested for causing a disturbance. When searched, a baggie of a substance believed to be Meth, was located. Charges are pending.
