Motrocyclist dies in north Red Deer crash

RCMP confirm Saturday morning that a 34-year-old man from Red Deer was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night.

Cst. Patrick Lambert says the man, who was the lone occupant of the motorcycle, was travelling southbound on Taylor Drive at about 10 p.m.

It was at the intersection with Jewell Street/75 Street that the motorcycle struck a light standard in the centre median.

Significant damage occurred, and the man died on scene.

Next of kin has been notified. No other vehicles or people were involved.
