ASSAULT CHARGES LAID

CALGARY- A 31-year-old man has been charged with three counts of assault after at least three people in Calgary were spat on by a person hurling racial slurs.
Calgary police say the suspect was quickly identified after video of the incident on Saturday was circulated online.
They say a witness who confronted the suspect was also threatened with a weapon.
In addition to assault, Justin Riaz Williams is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
