Innisfail Mounties seize drugs and weapons, arrest three

Three people have been charged after Mounties in Innisfail turned up drugs, firearms and other weapons during a routine traffic stop.

RCMP pulled over a vehicle with three occupants at about 7 p.m. Sunday north of Innisfail.

Police searched the vehicle and recovered two prohibited firearms, one non-restricted firearm, and numerous other edged weapons. Officers also located quantities of substances suspected to be cocaine, methamphetamine, carfentanil and cannabis.

A total of 31 charges were laid against the occupants of this vehicle.

Dale Coish, 24, and Jesse Fehr, 19, of Red Deer and Ryan Traweger, 34, of Calgary have been charged with:

• Trafficking Controlled Substance X3
• Possession of prohibited weapon X3
• Drive Motor Vehicle with Insecure weapon X5
• Unsafe transportation of a firearm X3
• Carrying a concealed weapon X2
• Possession of loaded prohibited firearm X2
• Possession of a stolen firearm X3
• Possess stolen property under $5000
• Possess weapon for dangerous purpose X2
• Possess firearm without license X5

Coish and Fehr were brought before a justice of the peace who released them to appear in Red Deer provincial court on June 29.

Traweger was also charged with:

• Breach of a release order X 2
• Obstruction
• Drive while unauthorized
• Drive without insurance
• Drive without license
• Misuse of place

Traweger was remanded into custody, and is due to appear in Red Deer provincial court on April 21.
