Drayton Valley defers utility payments for 90 days

In an effort to provide relief and support to residents, Drayton Valley Town Council has approved a Utility Payment Deferral Plan for residents for 90 days.

Following the 90 days, outstanding amounts will be divided up among the last six bills of 2020, interest-free.

Administration will work with residents who are in arrears prior to March 24, but no further than January 1 of this year.

Utility bills (which include water/sewer charges as well as fees for waste collection) will be distributed to residents as per the normal schedule, however, no penalty fees or service disconnections will take place from March 24 to June 24.
