Two charged after break-in and theft at Innisfail area oil lease site
Two people are facing charges following a break-in and theft at an oil lease site near Innisfail last weekend.
On Mar. 28, at 9:30 a.m., Innisfail RCMP received a call of a break-in to an oil lease site where two individuals wearing masks were seen breaking into the site, as well as a Sea Can, and allegedly stealing undisclosed items. Both individuals fled the scene in a blue Chrysler 200.
Mounties say the complainant had observed these two individuals and continued to provide detailed updates to police which assisted them in locating the Chrysler rather quickly.
RCMP attempted to pull over the Chrysler, however it fled from police at a high rate of speed. RCMP activated a tire deflation device which was successful in flattening some tires. Police say the vehicle slowly came to a stop and both occupants were arrested without incident.
