A small number of tickets remain for the 31st Annual Black Tie Bingo Gala next week.

Put on by the Rotary Club of Red Deer, the Gala is set for Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Red Deer Resort & Casino.

Organizers say approximately 50 tickets are still available for purchase.

“We’re getting pretty low. We probably have a couple of tables and a couple of individual seats remaining,” said Tony Judd, Rotary Club of Red Deer member and Black Tie Bingo Gala committee member.

Tickets are $200 per person and can be purchased on the Rotary Club of Red Deer website.

The Gala is an annual event they put on that supports community charities and initiatives. This year, half of the proceeds will be given to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation in support of the cardiac catheterization lab.

The other half of the funds will go to other community initiatives that will be presented in the form of grants. They give scholarships to 60 students each year and support numerous charity groups in the community.

This year’s theme is ‘Under the Northern Lights,’ and those in attendance will experience a four-course meal. There will also be a bar, plenty of fun games, outstanding giveaways, and of course the classic bingo to wrap up the evening.

“People can expect an elegant atmosphere,” Judd added.
