West Central Alberta Justice Committee seeking meeting space in Rocky
The West Central Alberta Justice Committee (WCAJC) is seeking a new location to hold its directors’ meetings and youth panel hearings.
The goal of the WCAJC is give youth offenders from the community a chance to be educated and to impress upon them the need to take responsibilities in their offences and help them become a more constructive and responsible member of society.
Since their creation on February 8, 2006 there meetings had been held in the basement of the town office.
When the WCAJC heard they would have until February 1 they wrote a letter to Council on their behalf and in it stated, “This notice was shocking and disappointing.”
