Rocky RCMP Report: Nov. 21- 27

2:19 P.M. – Copper wire stolen from a Telus building in Caroline.

6:36 P.M. – 911 call of a B&E to a residence and detached garage at a location on SecHwy #752. Multiple firearms stolen from a gun safe. Under investigation.

8:07 P.M. – Vehicle stopped on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve and after a search, meth and marihuana were located. 2 adult individuals were arrested, one of whom is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.

November 22

5:24 P.M. – Theft of a 2017 Forest River XLR Nitro holiday trailer (Alberta licence plate 5GV-979), stolen from a location on SecHwy #591, west of Caroline. Two compound bows had been in the trailer.

6:51 P.M. – Complaint of a disturbance at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police located one of the very intoxicated males walking down the road. He was subsequently arrested and was released when sober.

9:42 P.M. – Multiple reports of an Impaired Driver in a silver Chev Equinox driving around RMH. Police located the vehicle and the adult female driver failed the Alcohol Screening Device. She was subsequently arrested and brought back to the detachment where she provided breath samples over the legal limit. Charges pending.

11:05 P.M. – Complaint of threats at a residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Police attended and arrested an intoxicated adult male for outstanding warrants.

November 23

2:00 A.M. – Suspicious vehicle reported stuck at a lease site on Range Road 4-5 and Twp Rd 37-2. Police attended and discovered that the FORD F250 had rammed through a gate and got stuck in the snow. An adult male from the Red Deer area was arrested after firearms, meth, break-in tools, and other items were found. Numerous charges were laid and this prolific offender was remanded into custody after a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.

8:21 A.M. – Call of mailboxes broken into in Leslieville. Suspect vehicle is a Jeep Cherokee. Two male suspects in their 20’s were seen, one of whom appeared to be in a uniform.

12:46 P.M. – Mail found scattered in the ditch on the Rainy Creek road NE of Leslieville.

6:57 A.M. – Call of an intoxicated individual driving a company truck which was located by a supervisor at a gas station on Hwy #54, west of Caroline. Police attended and arrested a young adult male employee who provided breath samples at the detachment, which were well over the legal limit. Charges are pending.

November 25

3:54 P.M. – B&E to storage trailers at a RMH department store. Bolt cutters and a flashlight were left behind. Ski goggles were stolen.

5:19 P.M. – Call of a suspicious person speeding on a dirt bike in RMH, near the Post Office. 15 minutes later another person called advising that the red HONDA CR250 dirt bike wiped out in front of him, sliding into the truck tire. The rider got up and rode off.

November 26

12:24 – Vehicle tires and rims stolen off a vehicle while parked overnight in the RMH public works yard. 4 GOODYEAR Duratrac 265 R70 & 17” rims. The culprit(s) gained access to the yard by cutting through the fence.

November 27

2:30 P.M. – While on patrol on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve, police observed a vehicle with a passenger who was known to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. The vehicle was stopped and the adult male was arrested. Upon being searched, methamphetamine was located on his person. Further charges pending.
