Concert in Red Deer tells history of Alberta’s trade union movement
The Red Deer & District Labour Council (RDDLC), in conjunction with the Alberta Labour History Institute (ALHI) and the Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL,) is pleased to host “Alberta in the Labour Revolt of 1919,” a concert that combines video with live music to tell the story of Alberta’s trade union movement.
The concert and film is part of a four-city tour with stops in Lethbridge, Calgary, Red Deer and ending in Edmonton on the Thanksgiving long weekend with a book signing, panel discussions, and workshops.
