CALGARY- Two of the giant panda cubs who came to the Calgary Zoo in March of last year with their parents are being sent back to China now that they’re almost four years old.

Zoo officials say they’ll be holding a farewell celebration for Jia PanPan and Jia YueYue this weekend.

The pair will then board a flight to a breeding program facility in China sometime after Sunday.

Their parents will remain at the zoo until 2023.
