Resort residential development proposed for Pine Lake
A public hearing will take place next month regarding a proposed multi-lot subdivision adjacent to Pine Lake that would house resort-style condominiums.
On Tuesday, Red Deer County council granted first reading to a bylaw that would redesignate a portion of over 44 acres currently zoned Agricultural District, to Resort Residential within the Aspen Shores Local Area Structure Plan.
County officials say the proposed development would be serviced by onsite communal water and waste water, with access via Highway 42 and South Pine Lake Road. Other major routes would include access from Highway 816 onto local township roads and range roads.
Currently, County officials say a mix of year-round residential and resort residential parcels surround Pine Lake.
