Royals clean up at competitions in Ireland

The Red Deer Royals, celebrating their 50th anniversary, showed the competition what they’re made of on a trip to Ireland this past week.

At the Celtic Band Festical in Limerick, the Royals took top honours in several categories, including:

Gold – Street Parade
Gold – Soundsport Showband
WAMSB Showband Award
IMBA Premier Class Award
IMBA Caption Awards – High Visual, High Field Music, High Effect, High Brass and High Music

This was the festival’s first year in existence, and it took place at the University of Limerick.
