Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report June 6-13

June 6

9:25 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant attended detachment to report an assault by elderly father. Member spoke with all parties involved. Complainant will stay with brother. Request member assistance to obtain belongings.

3:01 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting two males entered their home, one suspect is in a running Dodge red truck with handgun. Complainant had long gun and pointed it at the two males who then departed. Members attended, no further description provided, Vehicle not located.

5:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Jocelyn’s Independent – Member located a stolen truck parked in the parking lot. Vehicle is a 2007 Ford F350 which was stolen on June 5.

7:53 pm – Brazeau County – Fire department requesting assistance with a structure fire. Members attended and spoke with the occupant who was not injured. Matter is still under investigation.

June 7

5:48 am – Drayton Valley – Bob Dale – Complainant reporting a green 2003 Chevrolet 2500 was stolen sometime overnight. CGS Always Roofing decals on windows.

1:27 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a blue truck drove off Hwy 624 at a high rate of speed, destroyed a fence and tore up a ¼ section of crop. Vehicle had been reported stolen from Dog Gone Saloon in Tomahawk. Vehicle is a 2018 Chevrolet half ton.

1:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they were rear ended by a blue Pontiac Sunfire. Air bags had deployed. Matter still under investigation.

10:23 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a suspicious male in his late twenties wearing a black hoody and jeans is pulling a lawn mower with no shoes on.

June 8

4:40 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a white Dodge truck. Occupants of the truck were known to police. Two occupants arrested.

6:24 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant reporting an attempted break and enter to truck. Suspects left on foot. One male wearing a red hoody and the other wearing a black hoodie with a back pack. Member attended, ignition and driver side door lock punched. Members made extensive patrols, suspects not located.

6:26 am – Drayton Valley – Econo Rest – Complainant reporting an assault. Suspect fled on foot when members attended. Audie Hill, 31, arrested for outstanding warrants. Held for a bail hearing and released.

9:43 am – Drayton Valley – Pet Value – Complainant reporting that people were on the roof overnight and damaged light, pipe and other property. Members attended. Still under investigation.

11:37 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting a break in to the firebase. Window broken into the garage. Cabinet stolen from inside.

12:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting a hit and run to their 2017 Ford F150 by a brown reddish cargo van with a female driver. Damage to driver side mirror.

7:23 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a residence. Complainant observed an individual wearing grey and blue plaid jacket break a window and climb through the window. Members attended and located the suspect. Suspect was arrested but name cannot be released, only 14-years-old. Parent called to detachment.

June 9

4:42 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting attempted theft of vehicle. Suspects had smashed a side window out of the truck and the alarm went off. Suspect vehicle is a white Chevrolet with loud exhaust. Members attended location and located suspicious persons en route.

7:01 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant advising that a dark coloured half ton truck is carrying unsecured pallets and they are falling off the truck causing a road hazard. Member attended and removed wood from road, vehicle not located.

June 10

12:46 am – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Complainant advising they found a small bag of methamphetamine on the ground. Member attended and seized drugs.

5:26 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of ATM machines from Oil Country Tap House. Individuals gained entrance through the back door.

7:05 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting their black 2006 Ford F350 with headache rack on back was stolen sometime overnight.

7:38 am – Drayton Valley – West County Energy compound – suspects entered the compound and vandalized an employee truck.

7:47 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting theft from garage sometime over the weekend. Items include inflatable paddle board, cross country skis, hockey skates, camping gear.

8:34 am – Parkland County – Twp 514 – Report of a truck stolen from a rural property with two firearms. The truck was later recovered, burned in Breton detachment area.

10:46 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Purse stolen from vehicle parked overnight. Back window was smashed open and the purse was stolen from inside the vehicle.

June 11

7:07 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Attempted theft of vehicle, overnight a 1998 GMC Sierra’s window was smashed and the ignition and steering column damaged. Nothing of value stolen from the vehicle.

7:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Wellbeing check requested on child welfare. Police attended, the child appeared to be in good health and no issues were noted.

June 12

5:19 am – Drayton Valley – Service Plus – Vehicle window broken and vehicle rummaged through overnight. Surveyor equipment was stolen from the vehicle.

9:06 am – Drayton Valley – Request to assist another RCMP detachment with a historical sexual assault investigation.

1:36 pm – Brazeau County – Members attended to assist Coroner’s Service with a female deceased in her residence. Not suspicious.

1:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Report that four black lounge chairs were stolen overnight from outside seniors apartment building.

2:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Ave – Complainant reported a break-in to garage. Tools, bike and some camping gear stolen. Still under investigation.

3:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reports his cell phone was stolen from his unlocked car parked by the library.

3:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reports welding cables stolen off his parked work truck.

3:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported being punched by an unknown male who “looked like a mini Adam Sandler” who took $35 from him. Initial report indicated complainant may have owed the assailant money. Complainant didn’t want charges, only his money back.

3:52 pm – Brazeau County – Break-in reported to commercial yard, building entered and power cords stolen. Occurred in April.

6:08 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Park – Complainant reported theft from yard over past few days. Two jerry cans and a Stihl chainsaw stolen.

7:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Farmers Market – Complainants reported two intoxicated males pulled a knife on a vendor and then left in a vehicle. The males then returned. Members attended and two males were located and arrested. Investigation lead to one of the males being held for a telephone bail hearing, the second male was released when sober without charge, based on information from witnesses. A 23-year-old man is currently in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

8:21 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a younger male in a white GMC pickup speeding and driving erratically. Plate provided. Members were busy on a priority matter at the time, under investigation

10:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported two females arguing and fighting in the street. Member attended, located the pair who are known to police. Both claimed there had been no fight, they were only arguing over keys

June 13

7:42 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported having his iPad stolen about a month ago. Today complainant reported being messaged that his iPad was turned on briefly and was at an area in town. Complainant contacted, as there are multiple residences in several apartment buildings in this area, possible actions limited.
