Alberta Crop Report: July 31
Hot weather conditions have impacted crops across central Alberta as cereals begin to ripen and broadleaf crops come out of flowering.
That’s according to the latest Alberta Crop Report from Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) and the Government of Alberta.
The report indicates spring cereals are approaching milk development, and fall-seeded crops are in early dough development.
The majority of canola at 64 per cent has reached podding, along with 94 per cent of dry peas, and 96 per cent of lentils.
