Green Deer sign-up party at Parkland Mall

The City of Red Deer, in conjunction with community partners the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and TD Bank, are holding a BBQ in hopes residents will come and register for the ongoing Green Deer initiative.

Green Deer happens annually and kicked off most recently on April 15. It runs throughJune 9.

The theme is to leave it better than you found it.

Citizens are encouraged to attend the BBQ on May 13 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the south end of the Parkland Mall parking lot.

There, one will be able to register an individual, their family or a team to clean litter at a location of their choice before the program ends.

Lucky registrants can win their own BBQ party.
