Lacombe Police seeking man wanted on arrest warrant

Police in Lacombe are asking for the public’s help to locate wanted man Jeremiah Nichols.

Nichols, they say, is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant following a police investigation.

While conducting proactive patrols in Lacombe, LPS officers observed a white GMC Sierra being operated in contravention of provincial legislation and initiated a traffic stop, they say in a release.

“During the traffic stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon inside the vehicle. The driver provided police with false information regarding his identity and was subsequently arrested. Through further investigation, police identified the driver as Jeremiah Nichols,” police add.

“As the investigation continued, police identified NICHOLS as a member of the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club (SCMC).”

Nichols is facing the following charges:

• Obstruct Peace Officer – one count

• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – three counts

• Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – one count

LPS is asking anyone with information regarding Nichols’ current whereabouts to contact the Lacombe Police Service or their local police service.

Members of the public are asked not to approach or attempt to apprehend Nichols and should contact police if he is observed.

The charges against him have not been proven in court.
