Crews responds to fuel storage complaint at downtown residence
Crews are cleaning up a property in downtown Red Deer after RCMP, EMS and the HAZMAT team responded to a fuel storage complaint on Wednesday.
Just before noon, Red Deer Emergency Services and bylaw inspectors were conducting a house inspection after neighbours reported a strong smell of diesel and fuel. Upon arrival, Red Deer Emergency Services called for assistance from the RCMP.
As a safety precaution, RCMP cleared the residence while bylaw inspectors and Red Deer Emergency Services conducted their inspection.
